Cookie Policy

At Foresight, customer experience is at the heart of what we do. How we use cookies is integral to that experience and this policy explains what cookies are, the different types of cookies, how we use them and most importantly how to control or delete our cookies. You do not have to accept cookies but without accepting them you may experience reduced website functionality.

When do we use cookies?

We collect information from you when you visit our website. Our website automatically collects information from your computer using “cookies” which provides us with limited personal information. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or other device by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website owners.

You can set your browser not to accept cookies and this document tells you how to remove cookies from your browser (see the section below “Can you turn cookies off”). However, in a few cases some of our website features may not function as a result.

What are cookies?

Most websites use cookies to improve your online experience. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile phone when you browse a website. There are various categories of cookies, and we have set out below the cookies used on our website.

Strictly NecessaryNecessary cookies help make our website usable by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function without these cookies. These cookies don’t gather information about you that could be used for marketing or remembering where you have been on the internet.
FunctionalityThese cookies enable us to remember information that changes the way the website looks, such as your preferred language or the region that you are in. The information these cookies collect cannot track your browsing activity on other websites. These cookies may persist so that your choices are remembered when you visit our website again.

Additionally, these cookies do things such as ensuring that your password works and that you stay logged in when you move between pages on the site and help the site to remember details about your visit. They also keep you secure while you are logged in and help to ensure the site looks consistent during your visit.

PerformanceThese cookies collect information about how you use our site, such as which pages you visit and if you experience any errors. They do not collect anything that could identify you as it is aggregated data and we only use them to improve how our site works, understand what interests our users, and measure how effective our content is. Our performance cookies include: (a) web analytics to provide information on how our site is used, and (b) error management to help us improve the site by measuring any errors that occur.

  • Remember your settings during and between visits
  • Improve the speed/security of the site
  • Continuously improve our website for you
  • Make our marketing more efficient

We do not use cookies to:

  • Collect any personally identifiable information (without your express permission)
  • Collect any sensitive information (without your express permission)
  • Pass data to advertising networks
  • Pass personally identifiable data to third parties

What are the different types of cookies?

Session cookies – A session cookie only exists while you are reading or navigating the website. These cookies are only stored on your device (which may mean a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone) during a single visit to the site (called a ‘browser session’). They do not do anything unless you are actively browsing, and they are deleted as soon as you close your browser.

Persistent cookies – These remain on your device until they are set to expire, or you choose to delete them from your browser cache. They are activated each time you visit the website that created them.

Third-party cookies – First-party cookies are cookies set with the same domain (or its subdomain) as your browser’s address bar. Third-party cookies are cookies set with domains different from the one shown on the address bar. Foresight uses Google Analytics to collect statistical data relating to our website’s traffic. This is not used to collect any personal data about you.

The table below provides more information about the individual cookies we use, the purposes for which we use them and the period for which they will remain on your computer or other device:

Our use of cookies

We use “Necessary” cookies to make our website work, for example by setting the appropriate language version of the website for you, for security authentication, network management, and accessibility. We do not require your consent to use these necessary cookies, but you can disable them if you prefer by changing your browser settings as explained below, although doing so will likely mean that our site will not work as you would expect.

We do not set other optional types of cookies (performance, functionality, advertising, targeting) on your device unless you consent by enabling them through the pop up which appears on your first visit to this website; this will set a cookie on your device to remember your preferences, so the pop up will not usually automatically reappear on subsequent visits.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by following the instructions below.

Can you turn cookies off?

If you do not agree to the use of these cookies, or would like to withdraw consent at any time, you can do so by following the instructions here.

You can usually also switch cookies off by adjusting your browser settings. Through these settings, you can accept or decline cookies or set your browser to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the website. You should be aware that you may not be able to use all website features if you set your browser to disable cookies entirely. You can delete any cookies that have been installed in the cookie folder of your browser.

The various browsers provide different procedures to manage your settings. Click on any of the browser links below for instructions:

Social media

On some pages, we also feature embedded ‘Share’ buttons or widgets that enable you to share content through a number of popular social networking sites, such as LinkedIn and Twitter. These third-party sites set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies and you should check the relevant third-party website to see how your information is used and how to opt out.

Changes

After your initial visit to the website we may change the cookies we use. This cookies policy will always allow you to know who is placing cookies, for what purpose and give you the means to disable them so you should check it from time to time.
